Persona 3 Reload is coming in early 2024. The release was confirmed during the Xbox Games Showcase, so here is everything we know about it.
Persona 3 Reload will be a remake of the 2006 game. Unlike the Persona 3 Portable remake, which was barely changed, Persona 3 Reload is a fully modernized version of the original game.
Persona 3 Reload follows the story of a transfer student that discovers the hour hidden between one day and the next. The main character then must face the mysteries of the Dark Hour.
The story remains the same as the original game with extra additions.
Perhaps the biggest changes in Persona 3 Reload are the gameplay improvements. The changes are based on gameplay modifications that were implemented in Persona 5 Royal.
The fatigue system has been completely removed from the game. All characters will have individual Persona elements. Players will be able to control all the characters in their party.
From the social perspective, more story elements will be added to facilitate the new social links in the game.
Tartarus now has breakable objects and conversations that can only be triggered there. The development team worked on making Tartarus more visually appealing.
The current release date for the game is “early 2024.” This could mean any time in the first four months of the year if all goes according to plan.
Persona 3 Reload has been confirmed for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
One key platform is missing from the list, Nintendo Switch. While it hasn’t been announced, the game might be coming for Nintendo Switch on the same date as other platforms.
All releases in recent years have excluded Nintendo Switch, just to release the game on the same date. Further confirmation came from an unlikely source. A Spain-based retailer has Persona 3 Reload Nintendo Switch version listed on its website.
