Jet setting Overwatch League fans who attend matches in the 2020 season will receive exclusive in-game sprays.Â
Each spray will represent the city where the tournament is being hosted that weekend. So far, only Dallas and New York’s sprays have been revealed, leaving the rest a surprise to Overwatch League fans. Dallas’ spray features a bloodshot eye engulfed in blue flames, while New York’s spray depicts a tour bus with New York Excelsior’s logo on the side.Â
These are the two sprays Blizzard revealed most likely because Dallas and New York are home to the Overwatch League’s first matches of the season. Starting February 8, half the weekend’s matches will compete in New York, while the other half will take part in the Fuel’s homestand in Dallas. February 9 wll see the new and improved Fuel compete against fan favorites and defending champions San Francisco Shock.Â
“Fans who come out to support their team – at any of that team’s Homestand Weekend events—will be able to redeem the sprays in-game. Home teams will provide additional details about how to claim sprays via codes at their venues,” reads the official announcement.Â
Buying a ticket isn’t enough to earn one of the exclusive Overwatch League sprays. You’ll need to get a plane ticket, too. The in-game sprays are only available via codes that will be made available at the match’s venue that weekend.Â
Players who show up to their team’s homestand weekend will receive 10 total sprays from one of two sets being released over the course of the season. The first batch includes in-game sprays for the following teams:Â
So if you attend any of the homestand weekends for any one of those teams, you’ll receive the other nine in the set as well. This way players don’t have to fly to Shanghai for the Dragon’s spray if New York City is a bit closer to you.
Here’s the second batch of sprays:Â
After showing up to the arena to receive the codes, fans can then redeem them on Battle.net. This option will become available in an upcoming patch.Â
