Nintendo has announced a surprise trailer premiere for the Super Mario Bros. movie.

Earlier today, Nintendo of America tweeted that there will be a Nintendo Direct for the Super Mario Bros. movie on October 6 at the specific time of 1:05 PM PST. Mario fans will get to see the world premiere of the movie’s trailer.

While the Nintendo Direct will not include any game information, the community is still excited about the Nintendo Direct. Ever since the movie was announced, there hasn’t been much shared about it aside from the voice actors, leaving the Nintendo fanbase craving more information.

What do we know about the Super Mario Bros. Movie?

The Super Mario Bros. Movie was initially delayed but there is actually a pretty concrete date for its release. The heavily anticipated movie will come to theaters on April 7 in North America and April 28 in Japan.

“My deepest apologies but I promise it will be worth the wait,” Nintendo producer Shigeru Miyamoto said in a tweet.

Nintendo partnered with Illumination for the film, the same animation studio that’s behind the Minions franchise. While the plot is largely unknown, fans can probably expect a lot of goofy, physical humor and a colorful appearance.

Fans will learn more about the plot when the trailer comes out tomorrow but even the image in the tweet shows a very vibrant environment full of mushroom houses and Toads, one with adventure gear. It looks to be the Mushroom Kingdom, with Princess Peach’s castle on top of a hill.

The voice actors were revealed a long while back, leading to a bit of controversy about the use of celebrities over professional video game voice actors. Here are the known actors featured in the film:

  • Chris Pratt as Mario
  • Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach
  • Charlie Day as Luigi
  • Jack Black will be playing Bowser
  • Keegan-Michael Key as Toad
  • Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong
  • Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong
  • Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek
  • Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike
