The mainline Persona games are finally headed to Nintendo platforms. The June 28 Nintendo Direct Mini closed on a poignant note, revealing that Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable are all coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Despite previously being exclusive to PlayStation platforms, Microsoft revealed that the most recent versions of Persona 3, 4, and 5 were all set to land on Xbox Game Pass in a huge reveal event. Since then, Nintendo fans have been clamoring for the games for years, leading to some social media snark. The good news is that Nintendo fans won’t be left out of the festivities with the games arriving on Nintendo Switch.

Atlus confirmed after the reveal that the games will be receiving ports to almost all modern platforms. This includes PC releases and availability on both Xbox One and Series X/S. Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable will also receive PlayStation 4 releases, which will see them made available on PS5 as well. Persona 5 Royal, which is already out on PlayStation 4, will also see a full PlayStation 5 release.

Nintendo platforms have received a number of spin-off Persona titles in the past, including Persona Q for the Nintendo 3DS, and Persona 5 Strikers on the Nintendo Switch. Persona 5 lead Joker also appeared in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Despite that, no mainline Persona game has been released on the platform.
