Ninjas in Pyjamas is reportedly set to inject some veteran talent into its Valorant roster.

According to 1pv, NiP is set close to securing a deal with Kévin “Ex6TenZ” Droolans. Ex6TenZ is best known for his time on the French Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene, notably placing in the top four at the 2013 DreamHack Winter Major with VeryGames. From there, he played with a variety of top French CSGO teams including Team LDLC and G2 Esports.

Ex6TenZ most recently played with Team GamerLegion, but was benched from the team in November 2019. He announced his plans to transition to coaching in February but did not land any notable gigs. Ex6TenZ began competing in Valorant in April and has not played an official CSGO match since May.

Much of his time in Valorant has been spent alongside two-time CSGO major winner Vincent “Happy” Cervoni Schopenhauer. The duo played together on a team named StartedFromCS that most notably won LeStream x BMW: The 2 Gran Coupé. StartedFromCS dissolved in September, but Ex6TenZ reemerged in November for First Strike: Europe, qualifying for the playoffs with a largely French roster but falling short of the top.

Joining NiP would be a transition for Ex6TenZ as he stops competing alongside French-speaking rosters. The roster does currently have an empty spot and the veteran in-game leader would certainly bring something different to NiP’s Valorant roster.

Where is Ninjas in Pyjamas from?

Ninjas in Pyjamas is an esports organization headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. The organization is best known for its Swedish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, but it does sponsor players from elsewhere around the world. It has fielded an all-Brazilian Rainbow Six team, a North American Dota 2 team, and more.

Who is on Ninjas in Pyjamas’ Valorant team?

Ninjas in Pyjamas’ Valorant roster officially includes the following players:

  • Emir “rhyme” Muminovic
  • Egor “chiwawa” Stepanyuk
  • Yaroslav “Jady” Nikolaev
  • Charles “CREA” Beauvois

The organization originally stepped into Valorant by repurposing its roster from Paladins, another hero shooter. That team lasted just two months before being released. NiP rebuilt by signing the core of HypHypHyp, led by former Overwatch League player Damien “HyP” Souville, but the roster has suffered from constant turnover since. Ideally, adding a veteran like Ex6TenZ will give the organization a measure of stability.
