We are getting closer to Naafiri’s release date as the new League of Legends champion. The Naafiri abilities rundown is now available ahead of the PBE release.
Naafiri is the 164th champion in League of Legends, a Darkin assassin that has possessed a pack of Shuriman hounds.
In League of Legends, Naafiri is meant to be an assassin, used as a jungler.
Passive – We Are More
Naafiri spawns Packmates that attack the targets of her attacks and abilities.
The passive is similar to Elise’s as she gains packmates that can deal damage.
Q – Darkin Daggers
Naafiri hurls up to two daggers, each inflicting bleed, or each inflicting bonus damage if the target is already bleeding.
Packmates leap to attack champions hit by this skill.
W – Hounds’ Pursuit
Naafiri and her packmates dash at an enemy, colliding with the first champion hit and dealing damage.
The dash can be used over walls.
E – Eviscerate
Naafiri dashes and damages enemies in an area, recalling and healing her Packmates to full.
R – The Call of the Pack
Naafiri empowers her pack and spawns additional Packmates, gaining a burst of speed and vision and a shield when she attacks a champion.
On the first champion takedown, all effects are refreshed.
Overall, Naafiri’s abilities make her an aggressive champion that is meant to go forward and take down enemies. She has no tools to escape, so it is to kill or be killed on Summoner’s Rift.
Naafiri will be released on PBE first. The new champion will become available on June 27.
On the live server, players will have to wait for patch 13.14, scheduled to drop on July 11 according to League of Legends’ update schedule.
Naafiri is unlikely to be enabled for professional play during the summer season. New champions are historically unbalanced upon release and get disabled for pro play. Naafiri might not even be available for the 2023 World Championship
