The German Prime League is heading into week 4 of the Spring Split and it will be with an exciting match between mousesports and Schalke 04 Evolution. 

Fans of the Prime League Pro Division will be in for a treat when rivals mousesports and Schalke 04 Evolution clash for the first time this year. So far, mousesports has impressed everyone with proactive and high-level play. Schalke 04 Evolution has been shakier but is looking to bounce back from a two-game losing streak against the top team in the league. 

Heading into the 2021 season, there was no doubt that mousesports would be the big favorites for the German league. mousesports lost its only game to Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition during week 2 but has since then won four games straight. Going up against Schalke 04 Evolution won’t be an easy task, but mousesports should continue the winning streak regardless. For the 2021 season, mousesports has added former Unicorns of Love bot laner Ilya “Gadget” Makavchuk and paired him up with Solal “Enjawve” Accary. So far, the new bot lane is looking scary and has made mousesports seem stronger than ever. 

Schalke 04 Evolution is also fielding a prominent lineup but it hasn’t proved strong enough to be considered a top team yet. With two experienced players in top laner Pavle “Yoppa” Kostić and jungler Patrick “Obsess” Engelmann, the Schalke Academy team definitely has a strong foundation to build from, but the games have been shaky so far. 

Schalke 04 Evolution started out the season with great wins against the likes of GamerLegion and E WIE EINFACH E-SPORTS but has since then failed to keep up with some of the other playoffs contenders. Losing to SK Gaming Prime and BIG in week 3 puts the team in a difficult position heading into the match against mousesports, so the team as a whole will need to reset both mentally and game-play wise to stand a chance.

Schalke 04 Evolution is a team with a lot of potential, but mousesports is considered the big favorite to win this match.

With a 7-1 record in the split so far, it will be hard for Schalke 04 Evolution to find any weak points. If mousesports were to lose this match, it will likely be because of individual mistakes and maybe underestimating the opponent. Schalke 04 Evolution still has a chance to pull out an upset, but it would require top-notch play. 

A win for mousesports only gives odds 1.31 while a win for Schalke 04 Evolution can grant an odds of 3.15.
