With new adjustments made in patch 11.8, control mage Morgana is now possibly the fastest jungle clearer in the game.

In a recent video, a player showcased how Morgana can now fully clear the jungle in just under three minutes at level 1. This sort of clearing speed isn’t usually seen from any jungler, and could potentially make Morgana viable in a completely new role in the patches to come. This is due to the recent changes made in patch 11.8, where Riot specifically targeted five champions and buffed their damage against neutral monsters, Morgana being one of them.

The player managed to fully clear the jungle in just 2 minutes and 57 seconds. This was primarily done by utilizing the AOE damage on Morgana’s Tormented Shadow (W) and leashing camps in such a way that they clump up in the AOE damage for maximum efficiency.

How to clear the jungle with Morgana

The Morgana player started at the Red Brambleback while pulling the Crimson Raptors. Pulling both camps enabled Morgana to use Tormented Shadow and quickly clear all of the monsters at once while sustaining herself through her Soul Siphon passive, which provides self-healing as a result of magic damage. After taking down the first two camps, Morgana went on to clear the Ancient Krugs, for which she leveled up Dark Binding (Q) to help burst down the bigger monsters in the camp.

With the bottom side of the jungle cleared, Morgana ran towards the top side to quickly finish the last three camps on the map. She starts out with Wolfs and then takes down the Blue Sentinel and Gromp at the same time. Just like with the first two camps, it’s possible to gather Blue Sentinel and Gromp in the middle between the two camps to save time. With two levels in Tormented Shadow, the camps go down in no time.

The only thing that stood in Morgana’s way was the mana cost of her abilities. With more mana regen, it’s possible that Morgana could potentially make the clear happen even more quickly. Nonetheless, Morgana managed to regenerate enough mana to clear the jungle in under three minutes and stay at full health without using a single potion.

What is Morgana’s role?

Morgana can play different roles in League of Legends but was originally known as a control mage in the mid lane. In past seasons, Morgana has been used more commonly as a support since her Black Shield (E) is great for protecting vulnerable carries. After patch 11.8 in season 11, Morgana is now also suited for the jungle.

Is Morgana good for beginners?

Morgana relies heavily on hitting her Dark Binding skill shot and timing her Black Shield perfectly, making her hard to master. With that said, Morgana also has aspects of her kit that are very beginner-friendly. For farming and dealing consistent damage, Morgana is fairly easy to learn as her main damage from Tormented Shadow is easy to hit. Her Soul Shackles (R) is also a simple spell and will enable beginners to make game-deciding plays without much practice.
