The new ranked rewards for the League of Legends season nine include Victorious Aatrox, honor emotes, and Victorious Pengu emotes for Teamfight Tactics players. The rest of the TFT ranked rewards will be given retroactively.
The ninth ranked season of League is coming close to an end and Riot Games has announced which rewards await for the players that participated. The most anticipated reward was this year’s victorious skin, and Riot has decided to dress Aatrox in it.
Victorious Aatrox will be awarded to the players that are placed in Gold or a higher ranked division once the season ends, while other rewards await for everyone who reached a sufficient honor level, as Riot keeps highlighting the importance of polite behavior in League.
Besides the Victorious Aatrox skin reserved for higher-ranked players, players that were honorable throughout the season will be given a special honor ward based on their level.
Teamfight Tactics players won’t be seeing their rewards right after the season ends since they haven’t yet been finalized. Players will get those retroactively, but will get to enjoy Victorius Pengu emotes based on their TFT rank in the meantime.
League of Legends season nine will be ending on November 19. Although this wasn’t in the announcement, players will also likely be given ranked borders and icons, as it was the standard for previous seasons.
League players haven’t taken the news of Aatrox getting this season’s victorious skin with excitement because of the nerfs the champion suffered later in the season, as well as the similarity between the Victorious Aatrox and Justicar Aatrox skins.
The two skins are of similar style and coloring, so players are saying the new victorious skin simply looks like a prestige edition of the old one. With the many complaints, there were also a few players praising the animation of the abilities, but overall the skin received quite a backlash.
