KT Rolster reports DragonX for tampering with mid laner BDD
KT Rolster has reported DragonX, formerly known as Kingzone DragonX, for alleged player tampering, and the organization took the matter directly to Riot Games Korea.
DragonX is in hot water after a post on Twitter that hinted at a possible player tampering. In a now-deleted post, the team made some comments that made it sound like KT Rolster’s mid laner Gwak “BDD” Bo-seong would be joining the team.
DragonX under investigation in LCK
The post came after BDD shared a series of pictures of him with former teammates and current DragonX players Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee, Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan, and Yoo “Naehyun” Nae-hyun. Kang “GorillA” Beom-hyun was also in the picture. This group of players were a part of DragonX in 2018. BDD left the team and joined KT Rolster in 2019. GorillA moved to the LEC and joined Misfits, while the other players became the starters of the team.
What looked like a playful post on social media turned into an uncomfortable situation for BDD. The Korean fans, who are extremely passionate about the teams, turned against the player and accused him of unprofessional behavior.
“I’m very embarrassed too, and I’ve never done anything to disappoint (the fans),” wrote
BDD on Twitter.
KT Rolster didn’t take the situation lightly. According to a
post on Facebook, the team reported the post for tampering and other violations. The team clarified that while some contracts are coming to an end on November 18, the players are not allowed to talk to other teams yet. It might be an indication that the organization is looking to keep its current roster intact.
DragonX, who recently signed controversial head coach Kim “cvMax” Dae-ho,
issued a public apology. The team clarified that they didn’t contact BDD and they didn’t expect the post to create such controversy. DragonX asked the fans to respect the players, especially BDD, who once was the pride of the team.
KT Rolster and DragonX are likely to undergo some big changes in the coming weeks. KT Rolster already released support No “SnowFlower” Hoi-jong ahead of the free agency period that starts on November 18.
