The future of Call of Duty games on PlayStation has been at the forefront ever since Activision was acquired by Microsoft. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 now revealed, Sony players are anxious to know if they will be able to play the game when it comes out later this year.
There’s a lot of buzz around Black Ops 6 after the first reveal trailer was shared with a harrowing image of terrorist Saddam Hussain. Featuring presidents and real-life events, the game looks quite intense, although it’s still a bit of a mystery what the campaign will explore.
Will PlayStation players get to also experience Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?

Despite Microsoft purchasing Activision in a landmark deal in 2023, Call of Duty is still being released on Sony consoles. For now.
Before the acquisition, Activision was already in the middle of a deal with Sony that promised Call of Duty games would arrive on PlayStation earlier than Xbox. Activision is still honoring its partnership with Sony for the time being, meaning Black Ops 6 and other future CoD titles will be available on PlayStation when the game launches.
Still, Xbox players will be able to enjoy Black Ops 6 in a new way: It will be available on the Game Pass on day one. This was confirmed by Microsoft on Xbox Wire on May 28.
“We’re excited to confirm that Game Pass members will be able to jump into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on day one with Game Pass,” Microsoft revealed.
The confirmation has left gamers quite excited at the accessibility of this intriguing entry in the franchise. With Black Ops 6 on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, players won’t have to pay extra cash to access the game.
