HyperX signs sponsorship deal with Red Bull for events and arena
HyperX has tendered a new partnership with Red Bull.
The gaming division of Kingston Technology will be the exclusive supplier of internal hardware, keyboards, mouses, headsets, and mouse pads for Red Bull esports events through the rest of 2019. HyperX will also supply the Red Bull Esports Arena in Santa Monica, California, and Red Bull’s athletes and players with its products.
The partnership kicks off at Red Bull Rise Till Dawn, which begins on July 13 in Chicago. The event features a Halo 3 open duos tournament which is slated to have hundreds of competitors battling over a $10,000 prize pool.
Marketing events lead at HyperX Sandra Jurgens stated her team is excited to continue their work with Red Bull.
“Working with a global leader like Red Bull makes perfect sense for both brands,” she said in a statement. “Our premier gaming gear ensures the elite competitors at these top events can perform at their highest levels, and Red Bull’s audience allows us to showcase our products to their vast, diverse audience of customers and gamers.”
HyperX is an independent memory manufacturer that has been providing PC, console, and mobile gamers with components for the past 16 years while sponsoring various esports organizations and events.
Energy drink producer Red Bull likely needs no introduction to esports fans. The company planted roots in the industry early and has been working with professional gamers since 2006, sponsoring teams, events, production, content, and more. Red Bull LAN events have been happening since 2011.
Red Bull and HyperX have crossed paths on many occasions in the past, sponsoring some of the same players and tournaments.
Red Bull’s stable of sponsored gamers is vast, with players in titles ranging from FIFA to Super Mario Bros. speed running. Following the Rise Till Dawn event, Red Bull has other events planned in titles including Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
