How to use Remembrance of the Grafted in Elden Ring

Remembrance of the Grafted is a unique remembrance item in Elden Ring that is dropped by Stormveil Castle’s final boss, Godrick the Grafted.

Godrick the Grafted is a difficult fight and the first demigod that players will go toe-to-toe. The pile of limbs serves as the final challenge of the jam-packed Stormveil Castle. After defeating him, he drops the one-of-a-kind item.

But what does Remembrance of the Grafted do? For fans of the Dark Souls series who remember how boss souls work, it will be quite nostalgic.

What does Remembrance of the Grafted do?

Remembrance of the Grafted can be transformed into a unique weapon or it can be used to gain runes.

Remembrances are a type of item that is found after defeating demigods. Players receive one from Godrick and every other major boss in the game.

They give the player a choice between an overwhelming amount of runes or unlocking specific armaments. Remembrance of the Grafted can be consumed directly out of a player’s inventory to claim 20,000 runes. This is a tempting offer, but Godrick’s defeat also offers two strong weapons that can’t be obtained in any other way.

After opening up Roundtable Hold, players can recruit an NPC known as the Finger Reader, or Enia. In the north section of Stormhill, you can find Enia by a collapsed bridge, though she will later appear as a merchant in the Roundtable Hold. Giving Remembrances to Enia grants the player a choice between powerful items themed after the boss.

Remembrance of the Grafted offers player two weapons. The first is the Axe of Godrick, a greataxe that scales with strength and dexterity. The weapon skill for the Axe of Godrick is “I Command Thee, Kneel!” and allows your tarnished to mimic Godrick’s powerful shockwave attack.

The other option is the gorgeous Grafted Dragon, a fist weapon. The Grafted Dragon scales best with strength, dexterity, and faith. Its weapon skill is “Bear Witness!” which unleashes waves of fire across a wide area from the Grafted Dragon. Plus you replace one of your arms with a dragon’s head, so the style points are off the charts.
