How to join Halo Infinite’s next multiplayer demo
Halo Infinite is getting another round of technical testing before its holiday season release.
Halo Infinite is breaking new ground in the sci-fi shooter franchise. The multiplayer will be free-to-play and follow a live service structure similar to other free FPS games. Infinite is currently scheduled for a December 8 release date but eager Halo fans can get a sneak peek by signing up for the Halo Insider program.
343 Industries has announced that the next test flight for Halo Infinite will begin on September 24. 343 Industries will select testers from the pool of registered Halo Insiders. There’s no guarantee that any given player will be selected but signing up for Insiders gives you the best chance of experiencing Halo Infinite before its launch. Fans have until September 13 to sign up for the closed test.
To qualify for the September Halo Infinite beta test, go to the Halo Insiders website and sign in with your Xbox account. Be sure to fill out as much information as you can. 343 is much more likely to select Insiders with complete profiles. Remember to check the box that asks if you want to receive information, tips, and offers about Halo. If you’ve already created your Halo Insider account, go to the Communications Update section, and opt-in to receive emails from 343 Industries.
To confirm which console you want to test the game on, head to the Profile section of Halo Insiders. Once there, click on Console or PC Flighting and select your preferred platform. Keep in mind that if you select multiple platforms, you could receive an invite for any one of them.
Does the September Halo Infinite beta have multiplayer?
The first Halo Infinite beta test was a disappointment for many players. The only way to test the game was against bots, which quickly gets boring. 343 advertised the first session as a mere technical test to get info about performance, but this upcoming Infinite beta test is bringing the core of the Halo experience.
The upcoming September beta test will include online multiplayer modes. Players will get to test a limited selection of maps and game modes against other players online. 343 hasn’t announced a list of available maps and guns or if customization will be included. Still, impatient Halo fans will greatly enjoy getting their hand on Infinite’s multiplayer early.
