Riot Games has rolled out the first free Valorant weapon skins for Prime Gaming subscribers. Here’s how to get the coveted Wayfinder shorty skin in Valorant for free.
Valorant skins can cost a lot, so players are quick to grab free in-game cosmetics. Unfortunately, Riot doesn’t distribute free weapon skins. However, Prime Gaming subscribers can grab a sleek new item for free. Riot Games has unveiled a Wayfinder shorty skin that’s rare and stylish.
Valorant Episode 4 rolled in with a brand new agent and a futuristic skin bundle that not everyone can afford. But Prime Gaming subscribers are in luck. The brand new Shorty Wayfinder has a design on par with any ultra-exclusive Valorant skin. The patent exterior has swirling patterns that resemble Chamber’s weapons. Thee free gun likely points at a possible League of Legends and Valorant crossover.
Valorant’s Neon shares many similarities with League’s Zeri. Wayfinder’s color palette resembles Zeri’s persona, so players shouldn’t be surprised if this weapon leads to a further crossover. Previously, Riot Games brought League’s Ruination event into Valorant in the form of two skin bundles. The possibility of another League X Valorant event isn’t entirely out of the equation.
In order to claim a free Wayfinder shorty skin in Valorant, players will first need to connect their Riot Games account to an account with an active Prime Gaming subscription.

The Shorty is an insanely powerful weapon in close-range. Opt to use this gun in eco-rounds and while holding tight angles. The weapon can be extremely rewarding when paired with the right utility type. For example, shooting close-range enemies who are crossing Viper’s damage-dealing screen. The sidearm will instantly eliminate decoyed enemies, bagging you kills in bonus rounds.
