How to get Agent Smith in MultiVersus
MultiVersus is back and the FGC is looking forward to new WB-inspired fighters. The next upcoming character is Agent Smith. You can get him early by completing a Rift challenge. Here’s how to get Agent Smith early.
Agent Smith is the main antagonist from The Matrix, known for his expert gunmanship and super intelligence. He can teleport, call another agent, and shoot opponents in MultiVersus. If this sounds up your alley, you can get Agent Smith early if you complete some stuff in MultiVersus’ PvE mode, Rift.

How to get Agent Smith in MultiVersus
You will need to beat the “Beat Rifts, Get Agent Smith Free” event in Rift mode. This event will run from May 27, 2024 to July 30, 2024.
Basically, you will need to defeat multiple Rift bosses. A Rift boss is the final enemy at the end of a Rift. To get to this boss you need to complete several nodes, so it’s a bit of a process.
Every Rift boss you defeat gets you one point. You need at least 20 points to unlock Agent Smith which means you need to beat every boss in Rifts mode on every difficulty. So that’s pretty insane.
Right now, actually, it’s not even possible to beat this challenge. There are not enough Rift bosses available to even get 20 points…. Instead, you need to wait for all five Rifts to be released throughout the month.
Once you do complete Beat Rifts, Get Agent Smith Free, you’ll unlock Agent Smith.
When is Agent Smith released in MultiVersus?
Agent Smith will be available later this month if you don’t get him through the Rift challenge. The exact date is currently unknown.
