Many players are complaining that Kirby and the Forgotten Land is too easy, but they have clearly not played the Tilt-and-Roll minigame.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a game celebrated by completionists due to the many missions hidden within each level. But there are also minigames players can access within each world and in Waddle Dee Town. The most challenging of these is the toughest level of Tilt-and-Roll.
Tilt-and-Roll is unlocked after Kirby rescues 180 Waddle Dees. There are 300 total Waddle Dees to rescue throughout the game’s many levels, so while Tilt-and-Roll isn’t a game you’ll uncover right away, you don’t need to rescue anywhere near 100% of the game’s Waddle Dees to unlock it. Try to complete all of the hidden missions in each level to gather Waddle Dees faster and complete the town’s fixtures.
This minigame works a lot like the classic Kirby game it’s based on. Use your Joy-Con’s motion controls to move the board around, rolling Kirby to a finish line by getting him through a maze.
When Kirby approaches the minigame, there will initially be three difficulty levels available. Beating all of them will reward players with the Vol. 1 Special Figure Game-Shop Waddle Dee. It will also unlock Extra Hard difficulty.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Tilt-and-Roll (Normal & Hard Mode)
The Waddle Dee carnival worker will congratulate Kirby for completing all three levels and then admit they have been putting together a harder version that’s the “ultimate test of skill.”
Extra Hard has Kirby complete all three Tilt-and-Roll games once more, but this time with moving enemies. This means that players will have to time their movements carefully to avoid losing the Kirby. Keep an eye on where enemies are located and where they’re moving towards, and try your best to plan your moves ahead of time. If you’re careful, you should be able to win.
