How do you unlock the Street Fighter 6 Year 1 characters?

Street Fighter 6 is out, and we have a preview of all the characters included in the DLC Year 1.

Street Fighter 6 is now available on all modern consoles. Ahead of the official release, Campcon announced an upcoming DLC called Year 1. This DLC adds four new fighters to the existing roster of 18 fighters, which combines new and old characters. The characters currently available in the game are:

• Lily
• Zangief
• JP
• Marisa
• Manon
• Dee Jay
• E.Honda
• Dhalsim
• Blanka
• Ken
• Juri
• Kimberly
• Guile
• Chun-Li
• Jamie
• Luke
• Ryu

Street Fighter 6 Year 1 Character

Year 1 will add four new fighters. However, not all characters will be added at the same time. Capcom shared an approximate release date for Year 1.

• Rashid, Summer 2023
• AKI, Autumn 2023
• Ed, Winter 2023
• Akuma, Spring 2024

According to these estimates, all new characters should be available by early 2024. The schedule is open to changes. It is unclear if the characters’ releases will bring any extra events, passes, or modes to the game. More characters could be added in the future.

How to get Street Fighter 6 DLC?

There are different methods to obtain the Street Fighter 6 DLC Year 1. Players can purchase either the Deluxe edition or the Ultimate edition, which includes all four characters. These editions also include additional outfit colors for the characters, additional outfits, additional stages, and more.

If you bought the Standard Edition, you can buy the additional content. On Steam, the Year 1 Character Pass is priced at $29.99, it includes all four characters. The Year 1 Ultimate Pass is sold for $49.99, this Pass includes everything from the Character Pass and all the different outfits bonuses. Purchasing the Standard Edition plus the DLC is at least $5 more expensive than simply buying the Ultimate Edition.

Street Fighter 6 is now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Arcade game, and Microsoft Windows.
