Here’s how to get into the MultiVersus open beta when it starts
Here’s how to get into the MultiVersus open beta when it starts
The wildest crossover of 2022 is fast-approaching. The open beta for the long-awaited platform fighter, MultiVersus, starts soon.
Warner Bros is blending extraordinary universes in its highly-anticipated fighter game, MultiVersus. Villains, superheroes, and other comic and cartoon characters will gather in the uber-competitive map pool of MultiVersus to battle it out in duos. The developer has dropped
plenty of teasers, but the highly exclusive closed alpha had players on edge. Fortunately, a more public release is on the horizon.
MultiVersus open beta will allow more players to take Batman on a swing, among other characters. Here’s when it starts.
When does MultiVersus open beta start?
MultiVersus open beta officially starts on July 26, 2022. But eager players can gain early access on July 19 at 9 AM PDT.
The closed alpha was a huge success, garnering the interest of players who’ve previously dabbled in games like Super Smash Bros. MultiVersus looked like a complete package for both serious and casual players with lively characters and their distinct powers.
However, only limited slots made it challenging for all players to try the game before the release. The open beta will help players familiarize themselves with the lengthy roster prior to the wider release.
Who can gain early access to MultiVersus open beta?
The early access that begins on July 19 is only available for those who registered in closed alpha. Other players can hop in on July 26 or get early access through Twitch drops. Here’s how.
- Create or Sign-In to a free WB Games Account to connect and link your Twitch account.
- Watch any Twitch streamer play MultiVersus with drops enabled for 60 minutes to earn early access to the open beta.
- Check on your progress as you watch, and then claim your reward.
- Claim your early access to the open beta for the platform of your choice in your WB Games Account.
Those who participated in the MultiVersus closed alpha won’t have to indulge in the tedious process of watching streams. They will be guaranteed entry and receive a code via email to redeem on their chosen platform. Those who participated in the closed alpha on the console will have the game automatically updated and ready to download in their game library.
When does the open beta end?
An end date has not been set for the open beta. Beginning with the open beta, MultiVersus will continue to get updated with new characters, maps, seasonal content, and more in the months ahead.
