The 2021 World Championship is just a few weeks away and now the groups have been drawn.

With a total of 22 world-class teams participating, the groups were almost guaranteed to end up exciting. This proved to be the case, with several groups are looking extremely tough even for the best teams out there.

The four groups for the main event all look very hard to predict, especially with a team coming in from the play-ins for each group. Group A especially is looking like a very tough group for LEC’s Rogue, after being paired up with two former world champions in DWG KIA and FunPlus Phoenix.

For the main event, the groups won’t be complete until after the play-in teams have qualified. For now, it’s possible to spot some favorites in each group but anything can happen depending on the play-in team that will be placed in each group.

Here are the Worlds 2021 main event groups:

Group A:

Group B:

Group C:

Group D:

These are the 2021 Worlds play-in groups

For the play-ins, everything will be on the line for each team to reach the main event. A total of four teams can make it, which isn’t much compared to all the strong teams represented. In group A, Hanwha Life and LNG Esports will likely fight for the top spots while the other teams might struggle.

In group B, the clear favorite will be Cloud9 but the rest seems up for grabs. With only one major-region team in group B, this is likely the group where crazy upsets will happen, as seen in previous years.

Group A:

Group B:

The 2021 World Championship kicks off on October 5 with the first round of the play-ins.
