Ghost extends contract with DAMWON for the 2022 LCK season
DAMWON bot laner and recent world champion Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun has extended his contract through the 2022 season.
After joining DAMWON in February 2020, Ghost was a big part of the team’s improvements throughout the season. Ghost originally signed a contract lasting until November 2021, but has now extended it with at least another year. This happens after a great season where he and the rest of DAMWON won the 2020 LCK Summer Split and 2020 World Championship.
Because of its great success in 2020, it seems likely that DAMWON is doing everything in its power to hold on to Ghost by extending his contract even further. Ghost is now looking to stay with the organization for two more seasons and to try to defend the world championship next year.
DAMWON managed to hold on to four out of five players for the 2021 season, only replacing top laner Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon with former FunPlus Phoenix player Kim “Khan” Dong-ha. DAMWON also recently picked up a new sponsor, which means that
the team will go by the new name DWG Kia in 2021.
For the bot lane of DAMWON, everything will be as per usual in 2021. Ghost and support Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee have proven themselves as among the most consistent in the world, which has been crucial for the team. Ghost joined DAMWON at a point where the team needed improvement and he certainly delivered. Ghost helped the squad grow at such a rapid pace that he should be considered
one of the most improved players of the year.
The 21-year-old bot laner is likely still in the early phase of his career and will be back on Summoner’s Rift with DAMWON when the LCK kicks off in January.

What is the DAMWON 2021 lineup?
DAMWON will look to defend its Worlds title in 2021 with most of the same lineup as in 2020. Only the top lane has changes, but it still looks like DAMWON could be a potential contender to stay on top.
The DAMWON 2021 LCK lineup is:
- Top – Kim “Khan” Dong-ha / Kim “Chasy” Dong-hyeon
- Jungle – Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu
- Mid – Heo “ShowMaker” Su
- Bot – Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun
- Support – Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee
How good is DAMWON Gaming?
After winning the 2020 World Championship, DAMWON should be considered the best team in the world. Even though the 2021 offseason has resulted in a lot of changes for many teams globally, the core of DAMWON will stay together for the upcoming season. Other teams around the world have made some decent roster moves, but it’s still difficult to tell if anyone should be considered better than DAMWON. Until the 2021 season kicks off in January, DAMWON should be considered the king of LoL Esports.

T1 exposes Karmine Corp with 3-0 win at League of Legends MSI 2026
Wasif Ahmed
T1 just beat Karmine Corp 3-0 in the play-in stage of the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational. More importantly, T1 turned KC’s strengths into weaknesses. The bot lane and teamfight prowess that shone in the LEC were no match this time. The match started with Karmine Corp picking a disrespectful draft, blind picking three immobile squishies. Right off the bat, a botched invade put their jungle and bot lane at a disadvantage. ...
