Gen.G is on a four-game winning streak.

Fans can always count on the organization to make a dramatic comeback in the summer and become a contender for Worlds. Continuing that trend, the squad took down Kingzone DragonX to get back into the conversation for the playoffs.

Game one was not even close. Kingzone completely destroyed the bottom lane and effectively neutralized Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk. The squad got map control and took every neutral objective available, including the baron that gave them the win at 27 minutes.

Gen.G was ready for the momentum swing. Mid laner Song “Fly” Yong-jun locked in Veigar, an unexpected pick in the LCK, and served as a catalyst for Gen.G in the second game. The teams traded evenly early on but it all came down to the baron.

Kingzone was getting ready to rush the baron but Gen.G came in from behind the pit. Fly used Event Horizon to zone out the Kingzone players while Ruler, playing on Ezreal, went in and took them down one by one. Ruler got a quadra kill and Gen.G took the baron buff.

Despite having better engaging tools, Kingzone couldn’t find the space to make a play. Gen.G was relentless and poked their way to the win.

At match point, it was time for jungler Han “Peanut” Wang-ho to shine. The jungler protected his teammates through the laning phase without overly committing to team fights.

Gen.G grouped up and Kingzone followed them. Despite the game being even on paper, it was clear that Gen.G was dictating the pace. Kingzone went for the proactive play and attempted to rush the baron but Gen.G slaughtered Kingzone inside the baron pit and ran to the mid lane.

They had enough time to destroy the turrets and expose the nexus but couldn’t immediately seal up the series. The Kingzone players came back to life and held their ground in the final minutes of the game but Gen.G forced the final fight that secured the win.

Gen.G is climbing the ladder and are now in fourth place in the 2019 LCK Summer Split. Kingzone fell to third with the loss.

T1 exposes Karmine Corp with 3-0 win at League of Legends MSI 2026 Wasif Ahmed T1 just beat Karmine Corp 3-0 in the play-in stage of the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational. More importantly, T1 turned KC’s strengths into weaknesses. The bot lane and teamfight prowess that shone in the LEC were no match this time. The match started with Karmine Corp picking a disrespectful draft, blind picking three immobile squishies. Right off the bat, a botched invade put their jungle and bot lane at a disadvantage. ...
