Fnatic vs. Misfits Gaming: 2021 LEC Spring Split betting analysis
The last week of the 2021 LEC Spring Split regular season will see an exciting match played between Fnatic and Misfits Gaming.
With only three games left for each team before the playoffs begin, everything is on the line for most teams in the LEC this week. Fnatic and Misfits each have their own objectives to fight for, with Fnatic looking to secure a spot in the top 3 and Misfits trying to get one of the last remaining playoff spots. With a lot on the line for both teams, this match could be one of the most intense of the split so far.
With a current record of 9-6, Fnatic is neck-to-neck with MAD Lions going into the week and with SK Gaming only one win behind. Fnatic ended last week on a better note than MAD Lions, but a single loss can be crucial at this stage.
Finishing in the top 3 in the regular split will give Fnatic better chances in the playoffs as it would avoid starting in the lower bracket. Before facing off against Misfits, Fnatic will go up against Schalke 04, who they are expected to beat.
For Misfits to make the playoffs, the team has to rebound after losing to G2 Esports last week. Losing to G2 isn’t the end of the world, but could potentially hurt Misfits’ confidence. Losing confidence can’t happen now, as Misfits is placed right on the playoffs line with a 6-9 record going into week 8.
Misfits will meet MAD Lions before facing Fnatic. This spells two tough matches for Misfits, forcing them to beat teams that are currently sitting much higher in the standings. There is still hope for Misfits though, as they beat Fnatic back in week 1 to start off the season. Misfits has to find that old form again, as Fnatic has improved immensely since. A good early game seems necessary for Misfits to stand a chance.

Fnatic favored to continue winning streak against Misfits
Even though Misfits has shown improvement over the last couple of weeks, Fnatic is the favorite going into the match. Fnatic has been inconsistent throughout the split, but is starting to find the right rhythm and is looking to secure third place in the regular season. With only a few games left of the regular split, both teams will be very focused, but Fnatic will still be favored because of its recent performances and the individual skills of its players.
While Fnatic lost its last meeting to Misfits in the LEC, a win will still only give an odds of 1.41. A win for Misfits gives higher odds of 2.68.
This important match between Fnatic and Misfits will take place on March 13.
