Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is actually a remake of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, which was a popular game for Nintendo’s GameCube. When the English trailer came out during a recent Nintendo Direct, fans were in tears over the music, cute animation, and nostalgic gameplay.

The English trailer was uploaded to YouTube on September 13, 2022 to Nintendo’s official account. It first appeared on a Nintendo Direct.
The trailer featured the same music and gameplay elements as Harvest Moon, making many players feel nostalgic. The trailer does say, however, that it’s for the “next generation,” meaning there will be some changes to look forward to.

Story of Seasons will have gamers building a new farm in a town called Forgotten Valley. The general gameplay consists of farming, raising animals, building a farm, and interacting with the town’s villagers. Some key gameplay features were also mentioned in the trailer.
You will play as a protagonist that can be male, female, or nonbinary. The love interests are just as varied, meaning you can be yourself and fall in love your way. You can also make new friends in Forgotten Valley, getting to know them through various in-game events.
One of the most exciting social aspects of the new game is watching your child grow up and finally reach adulthood. Meanwhile, your character also becomes older. This is sure to be a very emotional part of the game as you grow closer to your family.
Another big aspect of the game is growing crops and raising animals. You can even come up with hybrid crops and upgrade various tools and facilities.
A lot of this is the same as Harvest Moon, just with upgraded visuals, animations, and more.
Story of Seasons will launch in Japan first. They will get the game on January 26, 2023. It will be released to the rest of the world in the summer of 2023. No specific date has been revealed just yet for the international release.
While Story of Seasons is inspired by a game originally for the GameCube, it’s been announced that the farming simulator will be available for all consoles. It will be coming out for the Nintendo Switch in January, and then it will be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
