Diablo 4 is one of the most anticipated titles of 2023. The game revealed five classes for players to choose from, and it is possible that more classes will be announced in the future.
Diablo 4 announced the first three classes during BlizzCon in 2019. The Diablo 4 classes revealed in 2019 were as follows.
- Barbarian, a fighter with the ability to switch between weapons while in combat.
- Sorceress, an elemental mage that can use fire and lighting magic.
- Druid, a shapeshifter that can turn into a wolf or a bear. This class controls storm magic.
These are classes that were part of Diablo 2. In the case of the Barbarian, it was also available in Diablo 3.
At BlizzCon 2021, the Rogue class was announced. A quick-moving fighter that can change between melee and ranged attacks. Last but not least, in 2022, the Necromancer was announced. This class uses dark magic to attack and was part of the previous two installments in the series.
It is possible that more classes will be introduced ahead of the game’s release in 2023.
According to the developers, Diablo 4 has a robust character customization tool. Players will have the ability to create the character of their dreams in Diablo 4.
Will Diablo 4 have crossplay?
Diablo 4 will be released for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The game will have crossplay, so regardless of the device they are using, players can go online and play multiplayer game modes with players on other platforms.
Blizzard has already stated its intent to further develop Diablo 4 for years to come and to add more content on a regular schedule. Diablo 4 is the first open world game in the series and one of the most ambitious projects by Blizzard Entertainment. Diablo 4 is set to be released in 2023 with the exact date yet to be announced. The expectation is winter of 2023.
