Fans of professional wrestling cannot wait for the release of AEW Fight Forever. The title developed by Yuke, the studio behind WWE 2K19, is expected to hit the market in 2023. Here is everything we know about AEW Fight Forever.
AEW Fight Forever will feature arcade-style gameplay and nine types of matches upon release, including tag team, ladder match, and more. There will be online play available as well as intergender wrestling, a feature that is missing in other wrestling games like WWE 2K22.
Players will have the option to create their own wrestlers with their own set of moves, entrances, and customized arenas. Players can use these characters in the career mode which will take them on a journey to become the top performer at AEW. The game also includes mini-games.
AEW Fight Forever will be available for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The game was originally announced in 2020 and in 2022 it received a tentative release date of February, 2023. The exact day of release is yet to be confirmed.
The game has already gone through some significant changes. On August, THQ Nordic published a teaser with wrestler CM Punk on the cover. The wrestler was later removed from the cover and AEW altogether after allegedly “turning the locker room a toxic environment”.
Fight Forever is allegedly being released in February 2023, but the game is still not available for pre-order on any of the platforms. It suggests that the release date might change. Games are usually set for pr-order at least a couple of months before the release.
THQ Nordic is yet to make announcements about any changes to the release date. In the most recent trailer, the game is set to be coming out “soon”.
