Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree story revealed

Elden Ring fans have been waiting for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC and the official trailer has given more insight into what’s going to unfold. Here’s what we learned about the DLC story from the most recent trailer from FromSoftware.

On May 21, developers shared a new trailer for Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Now we have a much clearer idea of what’s going to happen once gamers download the DLC and start adventuring into the Land of Shadows.

Here’s the summary: “The shadow of the story can now be told. Learn the history of the Realm of Shadows, the unseen land that will be revealed on June 21, 2024.”

In the most recent trailer, there’s a lot more details on the main villain of the DLC, Messmer the Impaler. This powerful demigod has a horrific and destructive reign that Miquella must end by joining forces with new warriors. The trailer also points at what led Miquella to this new and eerie land and why he sacrificed himself.

The Land of Shadow, which is near Mohgwyn Palace, is about the size of Limgrave. You can explore this expansive open world in the DLC as you follow Empyrean Miquella’s previous travels.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will be released on June 21 for PC, Xbox One Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
