Demon Slayer Season 4 has been officially confirmed, and the next arc was revealed.

Demon Slayer fans, it’s time to celebrate. The fourth season of the anime has been confirmed after the 70-minute final episode of season three streamed in Japan. Season 4 of Demon Slayer will cover the Hashira Training arc, Volume 15 and 16 of the manga.

Demon Slayer season 4 plot

The Hashira Training arc is the tenth story arc from the manga. It covers chapters 128 through 136, or volumes 15 and 16.

In this arc, Tanjiro visits the Stone Hashira, Himejima, who will train him for the battles ahead. In order to become a Hashira, a high rank in the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjiro must go through intense and demanding training. Himejima proves to be a strict teacher who is not impressed by Tanjiro.

At the same time, Demon Lord Muzan is still looking for Nezuko and Ubuyashiki.

Demon Slayer season 4

One of the questions in fans’ minds is, how many episodes will Demon Slayer season 4 have?

Season 3 had 11 episodes, covering 29 chapters from the manga. The Hashira Training arc is only eight chapters, and it could mean a shorter season. Considering there are multiple events happening at once, the creators could find enough material to expand the season.

Expectations are at least ten episodes in the season, yet another decrease in the number of episodes per season.

Demon Slayer Season 4 release date

Demon Slayer season 4 is confirmed to be in production at the moment, but it might not come out for a while.

The show had a 14-month break between the end of season 2 and the start of season 3. If there is a similar break between the seasons, it would be coming out in August 2024. The release could be pushed to 2025.
