Demon Slayer Season 4 is on its way. Here’s what you need to know about the Hashira Training arc ahead of its release.
The first episode of Season 4 has been showing in theaters, giving fans a better idea at what’s to come.
Demon Slayer takes place in a demon-filled world where humans live in fear of getting eaten. Tanjiro Kamado comes home to find his entire family murdered by demons except for his sister who is slowly turning into a demon herself. He decides to train as a Demon Slayer in an attempt to turn her back into a human.
Season 4 takes place after Nezuko finds out she is no longer affected by sunlight and she can now fight with her brother during the day. This leads into the Hashira Training arc, with Tanjiro attempting to become a Hashira by facing some of the strongest of the Hashira, including the Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima.
Fans of the popular anime are guessing that this will be a pretty short season, possibly just five episodes or less. That’s because the Hashira Training arc is only nine chapters long, compared to the Swordsmith Village arc that had 27 chapters in the manga. To make Season 4 longer, some speculate that the episodes may go beyond the arc but it’s currently unclear.
Demon Slayer Season 4 has no specific release date right now but it’s been revealed it’s coming in the spring of this year.
On March 9, a prelude to Season 4 is coming to Crunchyroll in Japan. It’s currently a mystery what this prelude will include.
