Cloud9 takes down TSM, remains undefeated in 2020 LCS Spring Split
Cloud9 is undefeated in the 2020 LCS Spring Split, as the team picked up its seventh victory of the season against Team SoloMid.
C9 is unstoppable in the LCS, and the team is yet to drop a game this season. C9 has established itself as the team to beat in North America, and its aggressive and proactive style keeps the team ahead of its opponents. The team has faced the strongest contenders in the league and every time it looks like a one-sided game.
C9 takes down TSM
The match between C9 and TSM had a special meaning to C9’s bottom laner Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen. After two years of being blamed for the team’s shortcomings, it was time for Zven to get his revenge and prove he is a top player.
Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett and Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg secured two early kills in the river and it looked like another flawless early game by TSM. The advantage wouldn’t last long. C9 gave priority to the Rift Herald and the dragons over the team fights. TSM kept trying to force team fights at the wrong times and places.
C9 let TSM fall for its own trap and kept making moves around the map. C9 slowed down the pace of the game, giving themselves time to come fully online with their items. TSM got overly comfortable in the slow-paced game and once C9 hit the gas, they couldn’t match up.
C9 was better in the team fights and had a significant gold advantage. TSM found themselves retreating into their base as C9 relentlessly push for the win. Overall, C9 was superior to TSM in every aspect. C9 knew how to make things happen around the map and also how to punish the mistakes by TSM.
On Monday, C9 will complete the first half of the season with a match against Evil Geniuses. In Week 5, C9 is meeting Immortals again as the squad looks to continue its unbeaten streak.
