Check out the release date and platforms for Madden NFL 23
The release date for Madden NFL 23 is fast approaching, and it’s approaching even faster for those who pay up the cash for special editions of the game.
Depending on which version of Madden NFL 23 you buy, the release date will be different. For diehard Madden fans desperate to either try out the new FieldSENSE gameplay changes or to just wash the taste of Madden 22 out of their mouths, that’s clear incentive for splurging on the premium version of the game. Here’s when Madden NFL 23 will come out and what platforms it will come out on.
What is the Madden NFL 23 release date?
Madden NFL 23 will be available on August 19. However, there is a way to get early access to the game on August 16.
All versions of Madden NFL 23 will be available for sale on August 29, but the All-Madden Edition will be available on August 16. The All-Madden Edition is only available digitally through the PlayStation Store or the Xbox Games Store. The All-Madden Edition costs $99.99 relative to $59.99 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions, or $69.99 for the Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 versions.
What do you get with the Madden 23 All-Madden Edition?
The All-Madden Edition comes with a number of extra additions alongside three-day early access. The complete list of add-ons includes:
- Three-day early access
- 4,600 Madden Points
- Dual entitlement
- Exclusive early access challenges
- Choice of 2 elite players
- All Madden gear
- Madden strategy item
Though the three-day early access is one of the leading selling points, “dual entitlement” is also notable. It isn’t initially made clear what this means, but dual entitlement gives players access to both the PlayStation 4 and 5, or Xbox One and Series X/S versions of the game. This isn’t a big deal for those who already have a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series console, but those who have a PS4 or Xbox One with intent to upgrade to a next-generation console may want to consider this option. The All-Madden Edition of Madden NFL 23 is digital-exclusive.
What platforms is Madden NFL 23 on?
Madden NFL 23 is available on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Only modern Sony and Microsoft consoles will be getting Madden this year. This is the 10th consecutive year during which Nintendo fans will be left without access to the new Madden NFL game. PC players will have access to Madden NFL 23 on the same day as PS4 and Xbox players.
