In a game that lets you own multiple copies of the same car, fans might be able to sell the extras, but can you sell cars in Gran Turismo 7?
Previous versions of the Gran Turismo series allowed players to offload extra or unwanted cars for more in-game credits to spend where they like. Gran Turismo 7 has brought some large changes to that area of the game, and this has fans wondering if they can sell cars in Gran Turismo 7.
The short answer is no, you cannot sell cars for any in-game currency as a part of Gran Turismo 7. Some fans will definitely be annoyed by this new development, since cars they may very well never use will sit in their garage unwanted. There are ways to discard extra copies of a vehicle, but fans can’t expect to get any rewards for trashing the cars they don’t like.
This strikes many fans as a step back, limiting the choices players have to acquire expensive cars or other vehicles they want. At the same time, Gran Turismo 7’s day one microtransactions have an created an additional layer of frustration for those accustomed to some of Gran Turismo’s more player-friendly iterations from the past.
If you want to get rid of a extra or duplicate cars in Gran Tursimo 7, go to the duplicate car in the garage, select ‘Change Car,’ and click the triangle button. This will open a menu in which one of the suboptions is ‘Discard’. Clicking this will remove the car from your collection, but won’t net you any positive effect. With no replacement or other system for converting unwanted cars, it seems like Gran Turismo 7 is just offering fewer options to players.
