CallMeCarson confirms his return after grooming allegations
After months of teasing, Carson “CallMeCarson” King has announced that he’s officially returning to streaming.
Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo invited CallMeCarson onto his stream on August 13, which already surprised a lot of viewers due to CallMeCarson’s absence from social media. During the stream, CallMeCarson said that he would be back “real soon.”
What happened to CallMeCarson?
In January 2021, it came to light that the YouTuber had told members of the Lunch Club that he’d exchanged inappropriate photos with a 17-year-old girl. At the time, CallMeCarson was 19. When this story blew up, other women began coming forward on social media to share their own experiences with CallMeCarson while they were also in their teens. This included screenshots of Discord conversations.
Despite the multiple accusations being made against him, nothing major happened to the Minecraft content creator. After the women came forward, CallMeCarson disappeared from social media. But in June, CallMeCarson tweeted that he just needed “a little bit longer.”
This immediately began a new debate around the content creator, as many felt that CallMeCarson needed to stay away from YouTube and the streaming scene entirely after such allegations had surfaced against him. It seemed as though the streamer was taking advantage of his fame and power in the situation with the young female fans. But CallMeCarson supporters countered that it’s “not illegal” for a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old to flirt.
Is CallMeCarson coming back to YouTube?
After CallMeCarson appeared on Mizkif’s stream, it seems to be confirmed that the YouTuber is coming back. But it’s still unclear exactly what “I’ll be back soon” refers to. This could mean a return to social media. Or it could mean that CallMeCarson plans to create content and stream on YouTube again.
