Apex Legends is about to get more competitive with advanced map rotation that will include all three maps.Â
Top-notch gunplay coupled with hardheaded legends has made Apex Legends one of the fan-favorite battle royales. But while the game is cut-throat and challenging, it can be a tad bit boring due to subpar map rotation. Players could only play two maps per season. But this will now change, a developer has confirmed.Â
Dave Osei brings good news for frustrated players who want map variety in their games.Â
It varies from 60min up to 120min. We want to mix it up enough so you don’t feel like you’re playing same map at the same time everyday. However, this may need to adjust once live!

After the release of Olympus in Season 7, Respawn shuffled the quickplay pool by retracting Kings Canyon and World’s Edge alternatively. Each map would reappear alongside Olympus for a limited duration but Respawn is opening rotation for all maps for the first time since the game’s release.Â
Now, the lead level designer at Respawn has confirmed that Apex Legends will get all three maps in the active pool in Season 10. After the new update, players will be able to queue into Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, and Olympus through random map rotation. The map diversity should be exciting for players tired of playing the same old locations.Â
The three maps were never allotted in the same queue ever before. Complaints of poor servers in Apex Legends aren’t news, which is likely part of the reason why players were forced to have limited map options. However, the developer is finally taking the leap and adding three maps to the casual playlist.
However, players will have to wait for a week before this change is implemented. Due to the earthquake aftermath, The World’s Edge has seen dramatic changes in its structure. The developer wants players to familiarize themselves with the updated location by it the only playable map for the first week in Play Apex. After the first seven days, the queue for all three maps will be open for all.Â
While this is undoubtedly massive news, players may see some issues in queue time. The designer confirmed that the rotation time for each map might vary from 60 to 120 minutes. However, the timings may not be perfect during the launch but Respawn will be keeping a keen eye on it.Â
