The wait for Apex Legends Mobile is almost over.

Respawn Entertainment is launching Apex Legends Mobile globally on May 17. This will bring the battle royale action to both Android and Apple phones, something fans have been anticipating for a while now. Here is everything we know about the upcoming Apex Legends Mobile release date.

After months of rumors, Respawn announced a beta for Apex Legends Mobile back in February 2022. At the time, players in 10 different regions could select certain legends including Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Pathfinder, and Mirage. But Respawn soon promised more legends and other mobile-exclusive content that had PC players feeling jealous.

At the time, developers didn’t offer a release date for Apex Legends Mobile, leaving many fans curious about what was coming next.

How to play Apex Legends Mobile

While some fans around the world have already been playing the Apex Legends Mobile beta, not everyone has been able to test out the mobile version of their favorite battle royale.

To play the full version of Apex Legends Mobile on May 17, pre-register for the game:

Apple players will need an iPhone 6S or newer that is running at least iOS 11.0. They will also need at least 2GB of RAM. Android players will need Android 6.0 or later and similar specifications to their iPhone counterparts, such as 4GB of free space.

Apex Legends Mobile will be free to play just like the original, but will have some differences from the PC version. Apex Legends Mobile will remain “true to the original” but is a “new version,” according to game director Chad Grenier. This means some different gameplay and “mobile-first” maps and legends. There won’t be crossplay between mobile and the PC and console versions.
