Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is nearly here, so here’s everything you need to know about Rocksteady’s new superhero-themed action brawler.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a Rocksteady superhero game following in the same world as the fan-favorite Batman: Arkham games. This series follows Suicide Squad members Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark as they head out on a suicide mission through Metropolis to defeat a Braniac-controlled Justice League. The action-adventure game can be played in both single-player and multiplayer cooperative modes.
The new Suicide Squad game is scheduled to be released on May 26, 2023. It will be released for the PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is the fifth installment in the Batman: Arkham universe, but is the first one to not feature Batman as a protagonist. Batman will, however, appear in the game, voiced by the late Kevin Conroy in his final performance as the caped crusader.

The Suicide Squad game can be played in both single-player and multiplayer. In the co-op multiplayer mode, up to four players each pick one of the Suicide Squad members to pilot. In the single-player mode, the player picks which member they want to play at any given time and can swap between cast members while the rest are controlled by AI cooperators.
In a controversial move, Rocksteady confirmed at State of Play 2023 that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will require an internet connection to play at all times, even when playing alone. It will also include a day-one battle pass with cosmetics in it, and will receive post-launch content in the future. These moves are sure to anger some gamers, who see online-only play for games that are theoretically multiplayer as an unnecessarily restrictive move.
