Ninjas in Pyjamas runs over f0rest, Dignitas in ESL One Road to Rio
Dignitas made waves earlier this year by returning to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and reuniting the Ninjas in Pyjamas roster that won the 2014 ESL One Cologne Major. The squad led by the legendary duo of Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg faced their old team for the first time in the Road to Rio: Europe group stage.
It did not go well for them. Dignitas received a swift 2-0 loss, getting run over to the tune of 16-4 and 16-9.
Fredrik "REZ" Sterner ran wild on Dignitas in map one, racking up 26 kills. The highlight for him was a slick quadruple kill in the opening pistol round:
REZ wasn’t alone in those pistol round heroics. On map two, Tim "nawwk" Jonasson posted a huge ace and then some, wiping out all of Dignitas as well as one of his own teammates along the way. NiP released footage of the play, with the team’s comms included:

GeT_RiGhT discussed the game briefly on Twitter, and found some time to banter with former teammate Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson over how things went.

NiP winning the series wasn’t a surprise, but the victory was still a huge one for the team. Now sitting at 2-0 in the Road to Rio: Europe group stage thanks to wins over Dignitas and Team Vitality, they’re in a great position to advance to the playoffs.
Dignitas is in the opposition situation. Now 0-2, the team has a steep uphill climb when it comes to reaching the ESL One Rio Major. It's the latest in a poor stretch of performances for Dignitas after the team bombed out of Flashpoint Season 1 early.
