This Nuke wallbang by OG Aleksib is the craziest of the year

Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen isn’t OG’s most explosive player, but the young, in-game leader came alive in OG’s match against AVEZ.

During the closed qualifiers for this year’s Spring DreamHack Masters, Akeksib found himself stuck on the B bomsite on Nuke. As the plant came in from AVEZ directly above him, Aleksib rolled the dice and fired off several shots from his Desert Eagle through the floor and onto A site’s default plant position.

Luckily for Aleksib, Michał “MOLSI” Łącki was indeed planting default. Aleksib nailed the kill through the A bombite floor and put OG in a two versus two with a chance to pull off the second-round forcebuy win.

While Aleksib and Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski couldn’t pull off the clutch in the end, Alexsib’s shot demonstrated how much is possible in a match of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Interestingly, his play resembles one of the most ridiculous Rank S plays of all time: “Let’s talk about feelings.”

TACO’s RANK S pause and dephh’s Nuke floorbang is a CSGO legend

In 2016, ESEA’s Rank S was in its hayday, pulling in thousands of viewers each night and while stuffing an equal amount of dollars into streamer’s pockets. Counter-Strike pros, semi-pros, and everyone in between lucky enough to qualify for ESEA’s version of FPL were in the servers.

During a match between several Global Offensive pro players, Rory “dephh” Jackson went to save his Desert Eagle and armor after Epitácio “TACO” de Melo’s T side had failed to plant B.  dephh casually fired off two bullets into the A site floor on his way out, one of which happened to connect with the lone T survior Shawn “witmer” Taylor.

Luckily for fans, Tarik ‘tarik” Celek happened to have his stream rolling and caught the accidental floorbang on camera.

Immediately after witmer met his untimely end, TACO immediately called for a pause, tpying the now-famous words into chat: “lets talk about feelings.” Just two months short of the “feelings” four-year anniversary, Aleksib took down MOLSI in the DreamHack closed qualifiers through Nuke’s B bombsite ceiling.

OG Aleksib’s performance against AVEV was one of his best of 2020

OG would go on to win their match against AVEZ 2-1, thanks in part to Aleksib’s wallbang. The in-game leader’s impressive lineup wasn’t even his best play on Nuke. Aleksib’s best moment came on another OG forceby in round 15 as AVEZ stormed the upper bombsite. Aleksib appeared out of thin air on the A site and out three Ts with a CZ-75 before eliminating the fourth and final attacker with a pilferred AK.

He finished Nuke with an solid 26/19/1 line to go with a 1.13 rating on the double-decker map.  OG finished the series 2-1. Unfortunately for OG, the international roster struggled in their next matcup and lost 1-2 against forZe in the qualifier’s lower bracket final.

OG finished 4th in the event, missing out on the roster’s first opportunity to gain ground heading into the ESL Pro Tour’s summer schedule and Counter-Strike’s yearly ESL One Cologne. On the bright side, Aleksib walked out with a highlight clip that people will talk about some time to come.
