100 Thieves forming new bot lane duo with Cody Sun, Stunt

100 Thieves is reportedly buying out Sun “Cody Sun” Li-Yu’s contract from Dignitas and looking to have him lane alongside William “Stunt” Chen from 100 Thieves Academy, according to ESPN’s Jacob Wolf.

The move would bring Cody Sun back to 100 Thieves after being released by the team at the end of the 2018 season. He was replaced by Bae “Bang” Jun-sik, who has since moved on to join Evil Geniuses for the 2020 LCS Spring Split.

Meanwhile, this likely marks the official end of Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black’s time with 100 Thieves, as the team is commiting to Stunt in the form of a contract extension and promotion to the main 100 Thieves roster.

Dignitas down to one player with Cody Sun leaving

Cody Sun joined the main Clutch Gaming roster, which was later acquired by Dignitas, in the spring. Though the team performed poorly during the 2019 LCS Spring Split, Cody Sun proved to be a solid AD Carry. Clutch progressed as the season went on, which eventually saw the team win the LCS Regional Finals and qualify for the 2019 League of Legends World Championship.

Even though CG failed to make the playoffs at Worlds, fans were impressed by the roster’s skills and lauded their progress during the year.

Unfortunately, that progress seemingly means very little to Dignitas. The organization has made wholesale changes to the roster this off-season, with Tanner “Damonte” Damonte, Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme, and Nam “Lira” Tae-yoo all having been dropped from the team. Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon is currently the only player officially confirmed to be a member of the Dignitas roster at this time.

Veteran  Aphromoo replaced by Stunt on 100T roster

If these reports are true, Aphromoo is a free agent on the LCS market. The veteran player has been on the scene since 2011, with his most successful years coming with Counter Logic Gaming between 2012 and 2017.

Though Aphromoo hasn’t been linked to any franchises, there are several in need of a support player. Odds are that the veteran will be able to find a spot on a starting roster before the season begins.

100T had a disappointing 2019 season, finishing the 2019 LCS Summer Split in eighth place, The organization will be undoubtedly be looking to bounce back in 2020.
