Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer is returning to Heroic.

The Danish organization announced the addition of Snappi soon after Adam “Friberg” Friberg left Heroic to pursue other career opportunities. The rifler stated that he’s now a free agent looking for a new challenge.

Heroic called Friberg “one of the greatest” on Twitter

But the team is beyond excited to have Snappi fill in for him. CSGO coach Frederik “Lomme” Nielsen called Snappi a “great value” to the team, thanks to his “great mindset and gamesense.”

“With blameF in the IGL position and Snappi is free to play the position he likes the most, we have a great mix of aim and brain in the team,” Lomme continued, explaining how Snappi will fit in well with their current IGL, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer.

Snappi played for Heroic from August 2016 to April 2018. He then left for OpTic Gaming, but Snappi is happy to be back with his team, even if the squad is different from how it was 18 months ago.

“A lot of young and hungry players have joined the team,” Snappi said, “and I’m hoping my experience can help elevate the team to new heights.”

While Snappi may not be an IGL this time around, Lomme still feels that the 29-year-old CSGO veteran has the “experience” and “stability” the team needs now that Friberg left. The coach agrees that Snappi will improve the team immensely.

“He fits into our system and roles, and he’s gonna make the team and everyone in it play better. We have the perfect mix of players with insane aim and skill, while also having great teamplay,” Lomme said.

At the beginning of the year, Heroic came close to placing within HLTV’s top 10 ranking. The new lineup will hope to help them finally break into those rankings and will begin competition at the ECS Season 8 Pinnacle Cup, which starts September 10.
