Luminosity has benched Henrique “HEN1” Teles. The Brazilian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro is now available to other teams as a free agent.

“We want to thank HEN1 for all his efforts while on the team. He has been nothing but professional and passionate,” Luminosity tweeted

The team also urged teams to contact them if they’re interested in a buyout or trade for the benched player.

“Everyone who follows me knows how much I live for this game. Expect a HEN1 with more will and [determination] for new opportunities,” HEN1 said about the announcement. “Thank you for the opportunity and professionalism.”

HEN1 and his twin brother Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles joined Luminosity a little over a year ago. Unfortunately, the team’s current roster, which also includes Lucas “steel” Lopes and Ricardo “boltz” Prass, hasn’t seen much success of late. Some of the team’s highlights are a top-eight finish at IEM Chicago in November and a top-16 placement at the ESL Pro League Season 9 FInals.

After such lackluster results, the roster soon unraveled. LUCAS1 joined MiBR’s roster on June 25. Joao “felps” Vasconcellos joined Luminosity on loan.

The team’s announcement that HEN1 was being benched came as no surprise at that point, especially when the brothers have stated in the past that they’ve played together for the majority of their professional CSGO days. Both have been playing CSGO professionally since 2011.

LUCAS1 has yet to make a public comment on his brother’s benching.
