Baldur’s Gate 3 has been a commercial and critical success, and one flamboyant vampire has captured many’s hearts, but who is Astarion’s voice actor?

Astarion is an elven Vampire Spawn, the lesser vampiric creation of greater true vampires. He’s one of the Origin Characters you can choose to play at character creation or recruit as a party member. His personality and story have led him to be a fan favorite, but who brought this undead to life?

Who is Astarion’s voice actor?

Astarion’s voice actor is Neil Newborn. Fans may know him from Final Fantasy XVI, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Resident Evil Village, and Detroit: Become Human. It’s Newborn’s charismatic characterization that drew so many fans to the petty, theatrical vampire. Astarion hails from the high life and social intrigue of Baldur’s Gate’s high city and noble status.

Does Neil Newborn play BG3?

Not only has Newborn been streaming his playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3, but he often breaks out Astarion’s voice whenever he takes over the character he plays.

He’s also been a source of all sorts of trivia for Baldur’s Gate 3 fans. During a segment in which he was reading out lines from various points in the game, Newborn dropped that there is allegedly a secret section of almost two hours of in-game content that nobody has discovered yet.

According to Newborn, this new segment of content requires some incredibly specific actions to be taken to be opened up. And, as best as he can tell, there’s been nobody yet to crack the code on how to unlock it. Newborn can be found on Twitch by a username that’s just his real name, streaming every two to three days. Most recently, he played Baldur’s Gate for several hours with two of the BG3 writers. Stephen Rooney and Tom De Ville.
