Vivo Keyd and KaBuM! e-Sports are meeting again in semifinals of the CBLOL 2020 Split 1.

Vivo Keyd advanced to playoffs as the number one seed after finishing the regular season in the first place. KaBuM! had a slow start in the split and had to fight until the very end for the final spot in semifinals. Considering the final standings in the regular season, one might assume that Vivo Keyd is the favorite to take the best-of-five series. The odds favor Vivo Keyd 1.40 over KaBuM! 2.70.

KaBuM! gets the best of Vivo Keyd

During the regular season, KaBuM! defeated Vivo Keyd two times. The final game between these teams came in week nine and exposed the weaknesses of Vivo Keyd. Jungler Jonas “Caos” Cardoso plays a highly aggressive style that isn’t always matched by his teammates. Caos goes all in even without backup and ends up giving up kills and control of the map. Top laner Leonardo “Robo” Souza has similar tendencies and often engages in fights when he’s at a disadvantage.

On the other side of the map is top laner Lee “Parang” Sang-won, considered one of the best players in the CBLOL. Parang can take down Robo like it’s nothing. He did it through the regular season and he’s bound to do it again in the semifinals. Parang has fellow Korean Na “Wiz” Yoo-joon as his jungler, so the communication between then is excellent. Wiz plays a measured style focused on securing neutral objectives over initiating team fights.

The rest of the lanes will follow the pace dictated by the top lane and the jungle. Parang is the star of the team, but that doesn’t mean he’s the only one getting attention from the jungler. Wiz does a good job protecting his laners and taking advantage of openings left by his opponents. Caos, on the other hand, likes to force the fights even if the team has no pressure elsewhere on the map.

It should be a bloody battle between the two sides. KaBuM! is in a good position to pull off the biggest upset of the season and end the Vivo Keyd’s reign in the CBLOL.
