Valorant patch 3.01 fixes Skye and Sage bugs, account levels
Valorant patch 3.01 is live, and while it’s not as massive as the last update, it does tackle some significant bugs.
Riot Games transformed ranked queues with the addition of Kay/O and weapon changes in Patch 3.0. In the recent update, the developer cleaned up some of the bigger bugs that have lingered since then.
Sage and Skye bugs fixed in Patch 3.01
Many players had reported a bug with Sage’s wall that allowed her to boost teammates at strange angles. For example, players could pick off enemies at B long by elevating on Sage’s wall in Defender’s base by setting up her barrier mid-air in different spots around the maps. This bug has now been fixed in the current patch. Sage can no longer place Barrier Orb on some projectiles while they’re in the air.
Another significant bug was triggered in Skye’s kit after Kay/O’s addition. Players reported that Skye could still blindside the enemies while being suppressed by Kay/O’s dagger. Patch 3.01 fixes a bug where she was able to activate the flash of Guiding Light while suppressed. The update also patches the ability to heal KAY/O while downed in NULL/CMD. Sova’s Recon Bolt projectile has also seen a couple of fixes.
Players to receive accurate Account levels
As part of its YR1 events, Valorant introduced an account leveling system that rewards players for spending time on the game. However, many players complained that their initial level didn’t reflect the exact time spent. After patch 3.01, impacted players will receive the correct account level and keep the AP gained while playing at the incorrect level.
Other essential updates in Patch 3.01:
- Fixed a bug where you were able to abuse text chat colors to impersonate system messages
- Fixed alignment issues in observer view
- Fixed visual issues affecting account leveling at the end-game screen
How to open level up in Valorant?
Currently, earning Account Points (AP) is the only way to level
up your Valorant account. AP can be earned by playing Valorant games. Here’s how you can level up in Valorant:
- Earn AP by playing matches
- The amount of AP gained per match is based on the duration and results of the game
- Players will also be rewarded bonus AP for their first win of the day.
- AP only goes toward your account level and does not contribute to your battle pass or Agent Contract XP.
