League of Legends has been dominating the professional gaming space for over a decade, but which three players have proven that they deserve to be called the best?

It’s no secret that League of Legends is a dominating force in the esports scene. It’s arguably the most popular PC MOBA, and stands tall alongside giants such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) and Dota 2. It’s only natural that this means the game’s pro scene has helped multiple talented gamers rise to glory.

While every fan likely has a favorite player, three players have managed to garner fame purely thanks to their skills.

From the legendary Faker to the game-changing Mata, here are the three best League of Legends players of all time.

Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok

No introduction is needed for Faker, who is considered the greatest League of Legends player of all time. T1’s mid laner has already gone above and beyond the realm of being just another professional player.

With six World Championships under his belt since he first started playing professionally, Faker has already reached the pinnacle of the competitive League of Legends world. He is also among the top earning League of Legends players of all time.

While his legacy goes beyond just trophies, that doesn’t mean he can’t hold his own while in Summoner’s Rift.

Whether he’s playing one of his favorites, such as LeBlanc, Azir, or Ryze, or a new champion such as Mel, Faker has shown the willingness and ability to adapt to the game’s ever-changing meta. It’s no wonder that he was the first Hall of Legends inductee.

Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao

Uzi may have never won a World Championship, but that doesn’t reflect his skills as a carry. Considered the best ADC of all time, Uzi’s individual skill as a League of Legends player was so high during his peak that many believe he had the potential to become a greater name than Faker.

While most players excel only on one front, Uzi had the AD Carry formula perfected. He had excellent positioning to take advantage of any situation, aggressive laning that kept the enemy on their toes, and mechanical precision that won his team multiple matches.

He was one of the biggest reasons that China became a League of Legends powerhouse, and his influence is still felt on the big stage.

Cho “Mata” Se-hyeong

When League of Legends initially came out, the support role was treated as just an extension of the AD Carry. That is, until Mata revolutionized the game. He transformed what many players thought a support could do by becoming the strategic leader of Samsung White in its dominant phase.

Whether it was through vision control, map movement, or even shot-calling, Mata’s playing style was years ahead of his competition.

Many of the support mechanics that are deemed normal now were founded by Mata. These even include passive warding and playmaking, which are two things that few League of Legends players can imagine the support role without. He may have stepped down as a professional player, but his influence is everlasting.
