Team Secret has announced a Vietnamese League of Legends team.

Team Secret is a European esports organization that fields one of the most successful Dota 2 teams in the world. The organization has now expanded to Dota 2’s rival MOBA, League of Legends. Secret shared the news on Twitter, announcing the new lineup as well.

The team is starting its journey in the 2020 Vietnam Championship Series Spring Spit. Though the split has already started, Secret succeeded in getting a slot in the league by acquiring and rebranding Lowkey Esports. Lowkey is one of the two VCS teams that made it to the 2019 World Championship.

Secret acquires Lowkey’s VCS slot, hopes to make it to Worlds 2020

Secret is keeping the players that had the opportunity to get the Worlds Play-in experience in its roster for the 2020 VCS Spring Split. The team of seven members includes Nguyễn “Hani” Phát and Đinh “Coated” Tráng on top lane, Đỗ “DNK” Khải in the jungle, Nguyễn “Artifact” Hậu in the mid, Nguyễn “Celebrity” Hiệp on the bot, with Bùi “Venus” Hoàng sharing the supporting slot with Văn “Yin” Khang.

After finishing last season in second place of the 2019 VCS Summer Playoffs and failing to make it out of the playoffs at Worlds 2019 as Lowkey, the squad will be making another go of it under the Secret banner.

Secret’s current standing in the league is fourth place, where the team sits with an early 2-1 record. Though they’ve taken a win against top-performing GAM Esports, the team struggled against Dashing Buffalo.

In contrast to Secret’s new League of Legends team, the Dota 2 team is well established and known across the world. After placing first at a few major tournaments last year, including ESL One Katowice, MDL Disneyland Paris, and ESL One Birmingham, the team finished The International 2019 in fourth place. More recently, Secret’s Dota 2 team won the DreamLeague Season 13 Major as well.
