Team Liquid announced its latest merch collaboration earlier today. This time, the esports organization is teaming up with Naruto Shippuden to bring anime and esports fans together.

The lifestyle apparel collection combines Hidden Leaf ninjas and Team Liquid’s logo to create one-of-a-kind clothing that blends streetwear with high fashion. The denim jacket, parka, joggers, hoodies, and t-shirts in the collection feature Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, and other popular characters from the iconic anime series.

“Team Liquid’s goal is to continue excelling in the world of apparel and innovative co-branded programs. We know gaming constantly crosses paths with other industries and cultures, especially anime. Like our fans, we love anime, and Naruto is one of the most successful anime franchises of all time. We couldn’t be more excited to announce this strategic partnership to our fans,” Team Liquid chief business development officer Mike Milanov said in an official press release.

To celebrate the launch, Team Liquid also invited actor and director Dominique “King Vader” Barrett to model the clothing. He also created a live-action anime short to coincide with the clothing launch. King Vader is best known for his YouTube videos, including the “Hood Naruto” series. The clothing will drop on Friday, February 12 at noon, available to United States residents only.

This is Team Liquid’s latest collaboration with a large, non-endemic intellectual property. In 2019, Team Liquid locked in a blockbuster partnership with Disney and Marvel Comics. This saw the organization roll out jerseys based on a slew of Marvel properties including Spider-Man, X-Men, Captain America, Iron Man, and the Avengers. The collaboration was widely praised and demonstrated the mainstream visibility of Team Liquid.

It is unclear how long the Team Liquid x Naruto collaboration will run for and how many more ninja-inspired outfits will be rolled out.
