Riot Games just released the trailer for its new game, Ruined King: A League of Legends Story.
League of Legends fans have a new title to look forward to in early 2021. Ruined King is a single-player story-driven turn-based RPG game developed by Airship Syndicate. Ruined King is the first game developed under Riot Forged, a partnership between Riot Games and independent studios.
Riot first announced Ruined King in 2019 and finally released the first look into the game.
In Ruined King, players will get to explore Bilgewater while they make their way to the Shadow Islands to investigate a mysterious black mist. There are five League of Legends champions available as playable characters. The champions are Ahri, Braum, Illaoi, Miss Fortune, Pyke, and Yasuo.
This is the first-time players will get to explore the Runeterra universe directly. The trailer didn’t reveal any gameplay footage, but players can expect a clean game with an indie feel, based on the previous titles developed by Airship Syndicate.
Ruined King will be available in early 2021. The game has been developed for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. This is the first League of Legends related title that will be available on consoles.
Ruined King is not the only game getting released in early 2021. The open beta version of Wild Rift will be available for players in the Americas in early 2021. Wild Rift is coming to mobile for now, but there are plans to release this title for consoles as well.
There are more titles in the making through Riot Forge, but there is no information available at the moment. Riot Games is also working on a fighting game that will feature the League of Legends characters. There’s no available timeline for that title either.
Early 2021 will be an exciting time for League of Legends fans.
