Persona 5 Tactica is a spin-off of Atlus’ popular JRPG, which is now taking the Phantom Thieves of Hearts to Revolutionary France.

Atlus has just released a gameplay trailer for Persona 5 Tactica, teasing a new character, mechanics, and five difficulty levels. Fans of the iconic JRPG are already on edge to try out the game, but if you’re new to the genre, it’s worth reading up on Persona 5 Tactica before you commit to it.

Persona 5 Tactica is a Japanese role-playing video game developed by Atlus. It is the next upcoming installment in the “Persona” series, which is a subseries of the larger “Shin Megami Tensei” franchise.

The latest trailer highlights multiple new additions in the game, including a new location and characters. From the trailer, it seems the Phantom Thieves are brought to a land ruled by a tyrannical queen named Marie. While it’s tough to pinpoint the exact location, the setting does seem similar to the French Revolution.

This time, the Phantom Thieves are up against Marie’s Legionnaires. Two new characters have also been introduced: Erina and Toshiro Kasukabe, who help the Phantom Thieves break out of Legionnaire’s captivity. Toshiro appears to be at the center of it all, with his Persona awakening during the course of the storyline.

Persona 5 Tactica gameplay

Atlus has also shared a peek at Persona 5 Tactica gameplay, which is certainly much more tactical than previous installments. In the new game, players will have five difficulty levels to choose from, with “merciless” being the most difficult. These levels can be tweaked anytime during the game.

Persona 5 Tactica will also feature Growth Trees, allowing players to upgrade their skills using Growth Points. The game may also have Sub-Personas that can be used to boost the powers of your teammates. Persona-weapon fusions will help tackle enemies at high difficulty levels.
