Origin PC's Big O combines PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch

At one point or another, every gamer has dreamed about having an all-in-one console.

The Nintendo 64 was great, but it didn’t have Final Fantasy VII. The Playstation 2 was awesome, but the kid down the street only ever talked about how awesome Halo was. That problem lingers to this day with excellent games trapped on console-exclusive islands.

Origin PC has solved that issue, however. To celebrate the company’s 10th birthday, the computer manufacturer built the Big O, a single piece of hardware that contains a PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, Nintendo Switch, and a high-end gaming PC. The monstrous desktop was shown off by Unbox Therapy on YouTube:

The Big O itself is aesthetically impressive. While the PC is gigantic, its case is stylish and sports the branding for all three consoles which is visible through transparent panels. This is accentuated by the water cooling system, which is connected with colored tubes styled after the PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.

The PS4 Pro and Xbox One X are both built into the Big O while the Nintendo Switch can be inserted into a vertical slot on the front of the PC. The three consoles all share the same HDMI output, which can be accessed through a switcher on the front of the hardware while the PC has its own independent output.

This allows the Big O to actually run both console games and PC games simultaneously, which is shown in the video with one gamer playing Overwatch on a desk while another plays Spider-Man on PS4 on a television nearby. In a demonstration of the hardware’s power, it has Overwatch running at 240 frames per second during that time.

Though being able to play two games at the same time is novel, the hardware also has a bonus functionality for streamers who can run the two HDMI cables into the same monitor. This allows them to go from streaming PC games to console games just by switching the input on the monitor.

Excited to be able to play Dota 2, Bloodborne, Legend of Zelda, and Halo 5 on the same platform? Wondering how much it will cost?

Unfortunately, the Big O is a one-of-a-kind piece of hardware and is not available for sale. The guys over at Unbox Therapy will be able to keep this one to themselves.
